“My father gave me the gift of golf early in my life. Along the way I won my share of PGA Junior Events and Club Championships at two private golf clubs. Golf got me to the university of my choice, which led me to a profession I love. Today I work in the financial world ,where golf fits perfectly. I carry a zero handicap and can hit it off the face of the earth. Thanks, Dad.”

“I came to college in the fall of 2010 to be part of the men’s golf team under coach Luke Scala. I have been playing golf from a young age but have a very unique swing. Coach Scala was great from day one making small but simple tweaks to my grip that allowed me to get the most out of my swing. He is not like most coaches that will completely tear down your swing and start from scratch. He saw what I was working with and was able to pinpoint small errors and make corrections with in minutes on the range that instantly translated positively on the course. His knowledge of the game from the swing, down to course management and the mental side of tournament golf allowed me to succeed at the collegiate level. My senior year I finished 5th in our conference tournament and earned first team all skyline conference because of it. Without coach Scala this would not have been possible. I highly recommend receiving instruction from Luke Scala.”

“I played college golf for coach Scala. I also worked for Luke at his private country club in the pro shop. When I got to college, I was a high 80s player and had played high school golf. I had an awesome college career both on and off the course. Coach was always pushing us to play at the most difficult tournaments. I remember we played up to division one, there were 80 division one players and us. After day one we were in second, at day 2 I ended up in a playoff to win the tournament. I finished 2nd and the team finished 3rd. Luke taught me to play at a high level, and gave me a drive I could depend on. At the country club I won the club championship against some tough customers. Later that year I won another club championship at a different country club. As fate would have I was paired against my high school coach in the finals. He knew my game well and felt the trophy was his but not so fast. My game had changed and I won the championship. Thank you Luke, it was a ton of fun.”

“I worked for Luke at the club where Luke was head golf professional. I worked his large junior programs which were held all summer. I was a talented baseball player, a pitcher, so I played golf but my sport was baseball. My first year of college I was given a scholarship to play college baseball. My coach worked me very hard and the result was I threw my arm out. Luke had taken a golf coaching job so I followed Luke to college golf. I was glad I did, we had an awesome team 15 players. I started all four years and was team captain while I got my education. When Luke resigned, they gave me the coaching job as I was well mentored by Luke. I still worked at the country club and finished 2nd in the club championship three times. I was a strong player from tee to green however I was never a very good putter. Today I have 3 children and don’t play as much, but golf will always be a part of my life.”

“I went to college to get an education and play college golf. Coach Scala was in his last year as the golf coach, so I only played for him for one year. In that year I won two tournaments, finished in the top five skyline conference and was awarded Rookie of the Year. I don’t know for sure and I have never asked him, but I think he felt that he needed to do more for me. I still go to Luke when I need help. He never charges me and is always there to help me. I play golf professionally and am in the PGA of America.”

“I played college golf for Coach Scala for all 4 years. I also worked at the country club where Luke was head golf pro. Without the golf team and Luke’s help I would have never made it through college. I was team captain and had won my share of tournaments including Skyline Honors. For me, the golf was center stage, but the life lessons I learned on how to carry myself like a gentleman on and off the golf course has served me to this day. I still take lessons from Luke and he is always there for me.”

“Luke was taught by Joe Norwood in Los Angeles California. His knowledge of the golf swing is really vast. There is no doubt that Luke has the blueprint for the perfect golf swing, and not just any blueprint, Ben Hogan’s blueprint. We wrote a screenplay together about the life and times of Ben Hogan called The Hawk. They say you need to put in 10,000 hours to master a subject, and Luke has done that. The combination of Luke spending 6 years with Norwood and studying Hogan’s golf swing and life was the perfect combination to unlock all of Hogan’s secrets. I have spent a lot of time filming Luke’s program and filming his son Zack. The film does not lie…you see something very special in that footage.”
